1) today i have learnt how to create podcasts and publish them, along with other information into a blog.
2) I think the project was very successful and we made a great site for year 6’s to view
3) we can move it forward by updating it with more information on big events and other important notes etc.
4) We could share what we have learnt by creationg another one of these sites explaining what to do to make your own.
5) We could have had more time so we could have made our work more detailed.
6) Yes, i have enjoyed the project and have learnt a lot.
7) the most successful part i think is the podcasts, because you have to make the recording, edit it on garage band and then load it to the web site, and that was very hard!
June 13th, 2006 at 3:20 pm
1) I have learnt to use garage band, macs, and also to be mroe comfortable and more efficient and useful with computers.
2) The project was successful but like any other project u dont relaise how much time it will take until ur near the end
3) Move it forward by linking every mac because that way there will be no copying files from computer to computer which took loads of times
4) Yes i can my experiences mean i can help, even more than i already do, becuase i am somehow more comfortable doing things
5) Linking comps
6) Deffinitey teamwork was great as well as a day on computers!!! nothing is better than that
7) The most successful part was Dizes podcast it was quite long and impressive with sound and vision

1. I have learnt several new things today. I have learnt how to “do” podcasting
and how to transfer my files and also how to use new programmes.
2. This project wa very succressful from a learning point of view. It has allowed me to create and explore new things on computers…. especially blog writing.
3. Things could be moved foward by having longer periods of time to gather more indepth conversations.
4. I would be quuite confient in sharing what i have learnt today with other students. I would teach them how to use new programmes.
5. To improve on this i would prefer to have had a longer time limit.
6. Yes i did enjoy it.
7. The overall outcome i would say was most successful. It shows how everyone worked well together with all the softwear provided.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:20 pm
1. i hav elearnt how to podcast today i have also learnt some of the basics of useing mac computers
2. i think the projact was really succesful but it would of been better if our interveiws work
3. we can move forward by putting the url on the bottom of all letters and regulary updating it and keeping it full of fresh content
4. we could possible do something like this in it lessons at school
5. we could have 2 days to do it in instead so it isnt as much of a rush and you can tidy things up
6. yes i really enjoyed it and i learnt alot and i would certenly do it again and i would enjoy updating it
7. the most succesful thing was everyone worked together as a team and surported each other
June 13th, 2006 at 3:21 pm
1. Today I have learned a lot. At the start I wasn’t even sure what a blog was. I have learned how to create an easy to navigate, interesting blog.
2. I think that the project was very successful with everything falling into place towards the end of the alloted time.
3. We can move it forward by improving it furthur and adding mor content. We could also deconjest the first page as there are 1 or 2 long entries.
4. I could share what I have learned here today with other students in IT lessons in the future.
5. If we did this again we could be a lot more organised. But if we did do it again the knowledge that has been gained from this would mean people were more organised as they would know what to do.
6. I did enjoy this and i learned a lot. I hope that the school does more projects like this in the future.
7. I feel the most successful thing about the day was that, despite age differences, people helped each other and worked as a team.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:21 pm
1. I have learnt new things such as what a blog is
2. I think the project was successful because we all contributued
3. We can move it forward by keep updating it
4. I can but most likely wont
5. We would be more organised and know what and how to do things
6. I wouldnt say that i enjoyed it, but their was some interesting things
7. Everyone working as a team
June 13th, 2006 at 3:21 pm
today basically i have learnt how to us a mac. i have never picked one up before and now i think i could use one confidently.
i think that the project was quite successful. we did what we had to do and got everything loaded up in time.
to mave it foreward you should do a comprehensive overview of each subject.
no, not really.
i think that we could have had better to music to play over the top so that we could personalise it more
yep
the fact that we completed it with time to spare.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:23 pm
1. I have learnt today how to convert different podcasts from many formats in video and audio.
2. The project was quite successfull but more time was needed if it was to be finished off properly and neatly.
3.We could move this forward by having more days or individual lessons of the same type to first finish this off and then expand into different areas of IT
4.The best way to share the information is either by having mixed ability lessons and by having the more able teach what they have learnt today. Another way would to be make another blog or website with information on about how to do it.
5. Probably the best thing to do for a second time is to do something more challenging, and have more time, maybe two days. With that work wouldn’t have to be rushed and the overall product would be much more proffesional
6.Yes, I enjoyed it especially since we were working with the macintosh’s and not the more widely used windows, which meant that people could broaden their experience with different systems.
7. The most succesful thing about today was the fact that we all worked together with the more experienced on macs heling out the less experienced, this led to create good podcasts and blogs.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:24 pm
1)I have learnt about new websites such as flickr,del.icio.us,wikispaces and writely. I have also learnt about how to but blogs on the internet.
2)I think the project was very successful as we all made something on the blog so we can all be proud of it.
3)We can introduce it to other students so they can comment on their views as well.
4)We could do a simple IT lesson on it,so other students can get the hang of it.
5)We could reorginise so everyone knew exactly what to do and where to go.
6)I enjoyed a different sort of school day and learning new IT skills.
7)The most successful thing is that everyone took part and did something important to the project.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:24 pm
1) Ive learnt how to use a Mac, and ive learned all about podcasts and blogs.
2) I think the project was fairly successful, although it was a bit rushed towards the end.
3) To move the project forward, i think that we could evaluate the blog and maake it more efficient. Also, frequently updating the blog would also help to move it forward.
4) I could tell other students about this blog, and i could explain to others how to create their own blogs and podcasts
5) I think we could network the computers, to make data sharing more efficient. This would save time.
6) Yes, i enjoyed it today, it was a great experience and i would do it again.
7) I think that our podcast with Iain playing the piano, but also showing pictures of himplaying the piano was most successful.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:24 pm
1) We learnt alot today throughout the project. We learnt how to use macs and how to swap between using mac and windows. We learnt how to setup websites and use digital cameras with films and loading them on the computer. We leartn many techincall words and also how to interact with different people of different ages, and how to work independently.
2)I think the subject was very succesful as it gave students a chance to interact with other students and staff which we normally wouldnt have the chance to and also gain cimputering skills which would serve us well in the future.
3)We could mopve it forward by doin more seperate pages and updating it regulary.
4)I think we could all write our own blog on the website telling students what we experienced today… or we could just tell them
5)I think we could improve by giving a wider spread of time eg.2days and also making allocated slot times for children to interview teachers take pics ect. and make sure groups know what they are doing.
6)Yes we did.
7)I think when it all came together it was succesful very much and interviewing teachers who keenly wantede to take part and went out of theyre way to do so eg Miss drew eg. not Mr duthy!
luv bex and danni xxxxx

1) Today i have learnt how to use Mac computers and make podcasts, and movie files to add to blogs. i have learnt how to incorporate pictures with audio file using the garageband software on the Mac computers.
2) I think the project was quite successful as we added quite a few parts to the blog. we can now access it and tell other people about it so they can view it.
3) To move it forward we should keep adding to it and keep it updated.
4) Yes, i could show other students how to work Mac computers and how to record
audio files and add pictures to the audio files etc. i could also show them how to put a podcast on the net and post link to it.
5) If we did this again, i think we should try and get everything finished. It would also be easier to link all the computers up so we dont have to keep taking in and out the USB storage devices.
6) Yes i enjoyed it as i learnt quite a lot of new things.
7) The most successful parts were making the video interviews, audio interviews, taking pictures and recording music. putting it all together was also quite successful, but we didnt put all the pictures and videos on.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:26 pm
1) I have learnt now to use different types of software.
2) I think that the project was quite successful in the fact that we had lots of fun and set up a new way for people to find out about the school.
3) We could do this sort of thing again but have more time to give it a more Professional look.
4) Put it on your blog. or we could do a day when the students show the teachers what we did and how we did it so other years could learn about it.
5) If we did thins again i would want to improve on the standards this could be accomplished by haveing two days to do the whole project.
6) YES :D:D
7) My fravorite part was the different photos and comments.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:26 pm
1) today i have learnt a number of things firstly how to make a blog, how to take pictures from my phone onto the web, and i have learnt how to use flickr and del.ciocio.us.
2)i think that the project was really successful, because everyone was encouraging each other and helping each other out, and in the end we just managed to complete the site in time.
3)to move the website forwards we should elect people to regulary update the website .
4) a way i could share what i have learnt today is to help them to make their own blog.
5)if we did this again i would improve our knowlrdge first so we weren’t always asking what to do.
6)i ennjoyed today very much, because me were out doing things to make it fun as well as using cool equipment.
7)the most successful part of this was everyone at the end came up with a desent blog.
Cheers Ste!!!!

Today I have learnt what teachers really think about teaching, and their pupils.
I think it was successful, even though we had to hurry to get it all done.
we can move it forward by keeping it updated.
I can tell them about the website.
we could be more organised
It was a valuable experience
working together
June 13th, 2006 at 3:26 pm
1. I have learnt how to basically make a podcast and how to use flickr. I also learned how to make a video using the digital camera.
2. I think the project was very successful because we were able to learn whilst having fun and doing something that would help the school. It was also good because we worked in groups so each person could contribute a skill they were particularly good at. It would have been better if we had more time to edit and make things a little more proffessional.
3. We could keep the site updated regularly and continue to add podcasts, hopefully of a bettter quality if we are given more time in which to make them. I also think that the description under each subject heading could be re-written with more detail and specific information.
4. Not sure.
5. I think if there was to be a next time, we should have be given more time.
6. Yes, I definitely enjoyed it. Who thought learning could actually be fun?!!!!!!! Plus, the snacks were pretty good too.
7. I think the podcasts were pretty successful, considering that most people (including myslef) didn’t know how to make one before today. It was also brilliant that most teachers were willing to talk to us and help with the project and so we were able to get some great footage and pictures to use in the podcasts.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:28 pm
Today i learnt how to use a mac and to podcast which i am preety proud of, at the start of the day i would have been questioning what they where used for but i can now use them with confidence.
I think the project whent well but a bit more time would have been nice.
We could move on by udating and making the blog better.
I realy enjoyed the experience it was new to me and it made it a challage but at times i found that there was alot piled on you at one time.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:30 pm
1. Today, i have learnt some basic skills on mac computers which before today i have never used. Using garage band, i’m sure i will be able to edit and record files that “faces for radio” (our band) play.
Aswell as this, i have learnt more about the uses of podcasting, before today i have never looked at pod casting, and it has been an interesting ecperience.
2. I think the project was fairly successful, however i think that imporvements could still be made. More time would probably be needed to finish the project off completely.
3. We can move the blgo forward first by tidying it up. Many psots have been posted in the uncatagorized section, these should be moved to seperate catagories.
Also i think the design appears fairly simple, more attention could be drawn to the site, if its appearance was updated.
4. I somtimes teach some pupils aspects of computers and web design such as flash and html. I think that pod casting will be an interesting aspect to show them.
5. To improve the project for a second time more time would be needed to tidy up and finish the blog.
6. I did enjoy today, however towards the end of the day, the work started to be rushed.
7. The educational aspects were probably the most successful aspect, from point of view. I will probably use blogs in my future websites, and possibly pod casting aswell.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:30 pm
1) How to make podcasts.
2) Ok but my first podcast was not put on by poss.
3) I dont see any way how.
4) we can shoe them how to do it.
5) i dont Know.
June 13th, 2006 at 3:32 pm
1)today, i have learnt what blogs are, what RSS means, and how annoying it is when the computer doesn’t load.
2)i think the project was really successful.
3)?
4)we could share it by telling them the address to the site.
5)the amount of time we took.
6)i enjoyed it lots.
7)EVRYTHNG!

It would be good to hear from students about how they see the new skills acquired during this session might be routinely used during the normal curriculum time. They all seem to have had a great time and developed new skills. I’d like to call in and see some future work in action.
